THE TOWN GREEN INN DIGS DEEP FOR CHILDREN THIS CHRISTMAS

The Town Green Inn, with the support of Port Macquarie Toy World will dig deep for children this Christmas. The Town Green Inn will host a Huge Kids Christmas Party & Toy Raffle on Sunday 18th December, with money raised from the raffle going to the Port Macquarie Base Hospital Children’s Ward.

Over $2000 worth of Toys currently sit at the Town Green Inn. Patrons can purchase tickets into the raffle anytime between now and the Sunday 18th December Christmas Party. Tickets into the raffle are 2 for $5 or 5 for $10.

On Sunday the 18th December from 12:30pm, the Town Green Inn will host their annual Family Christmas Party with a special appearance from Santa, Face Painting for the Kids, lollies and show bag giveaways. The huge Toy Draw will commence at 2pm and will continue until ALL TOYS are given away. $1 out of every $5 raised from the raffle will be donated to the Port Macquarie Base Hospital Children’s Ward.

Town Green Inn Venue Manager, Charlie Redmond said; “Our Annual Kids Christmas Party is our way of creating a little Christmas Cheer for Port Macquarie Families. It’s a great day for all and this year we have decided to donate all profits to the local Children’s Ward.”

Bronwyn Chalker, General Manager at the Port Macquarie Base Hospital said; “these funds will be greatly received by all the staff and the many children and families who utilise the Ward each year.”

The Town Green Inn Kids Christmas Party will take place on Sunday 18th December from 12:30pm. Entry and all activities are free, so local families are encouraged to get down to the Town Green Inn for a great day out.

“We are so excited to be able to give a little back to the community this year. We have already received an overwhelming response to the raffle and are hoping to further this effort by raising the much needed funds required to continue the great work done by the team at the Port Macquarie Base Hospital Children’s Ward” continued Charlie.

MASTER BREWER DR CHARLES (CHUCK) HAHN HOSTS A JAMES SQUIRE TALES & ALES AT TOWN GREEN INN

James Squire Master Brewer, Dr Charles (Chuck) Hahn is Australia’s highest profile brewer, and has been a force in Australian, New Zealand and American brewing for over 30years.

On Thursday 11th August, Dr Charles (Chuck) Hahn will host a James Squire Tales & Ales tasting event at the Town Green Inn from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. The night which is free of charge for interested beer enthusiasts will showcase eight beers in the James Squire range including the exclusive pre release tasting of the James Squire 150 Lashes Pale Ale, due for release in September this year.

Town Green Inn Venue Manager, Brad Jones said; “We are really excited to have the likes of Chuck Hahn here in Port Macquarie and even more excited to bring Port Macquarie locals the opportunity for an exclusive pre release tasting of the new 150 Lashes Pale Ale”.

The tasting event will take the craft beer enthusiast on a taste exploration of eight beers in the tasting range matched with food themes that can be found on the TGs menu.

“The idea is to give guests a detailed insight into the James Squire range as well as beer and food matching; a notion often falsely restricted to wine” continued Brad.

Some of the taste sensations that await guest on the night include the Kosciuszko Pale Ale matched with Fricassee of King Prawns; the James Squire 9 Tails Amber Ale matched with Shortcrust pastry cups of shredded Lamb Shank, and the James Squire Mad Brewers Scribbly Gum Lager matched with BBQ Mignons with Cherry Chutney.

With the likes of Chuck Hahn on hand, the James Squire Tales and Ales tasting event is sure to be both an enjoyable and informative experience for all involved. The event, to be held at the Town Green Inn on Thursday 11th August from 5:30pm-7:00pm will be free of charge for beer enthusiasts; however guests will be required to REGISTER THEIR INTEREST either at the bar at the Town Green Inn or by emailing Brad.Jones@nlgops.com.

TGs Mums celebrate in style
There were mums galore being pampered and given gifts on Mothers Day at TG's.

With co-hosts Aqua Vitae offering free massages and 5 min beauty tips, and with one lucky mum taking home a $200 pamper pack the mums got extremely spoilt!

Followed by a great lunch and the kids making a present for mum in the arts and craft room it was a delightful day at TG's and one not to miss next year!

   
TG's Wins Greater Port Macquarie Business Award for Best Hotel/Club
Ellen, Ray, Bryce and Adrian respresented TG's at the recent awards celebrations that were successfully held and organised by the Hastings Chamber of Commerce. Ellen and Bryce got up to accept the award, with Ellen thanking the community for it's support.
   
Rob Oakeshott celebrates victory at TG's
With a tumultuous national campaign at an end, Rob Oakeshott celebrated his win, only 90 minutes after polling booths closed, at the Town Green Inn. With a mass of support, the champagne and beer flowed. As the night drew to a close it became clear the tough week ahead that loomed for Rob. The management and staff at TG's would like to wish Rob all the best, in the next week and in his next term as Member for Lyne. Well Done Rob!
   
Jenn races for a cure
Local Jenn Zuber will swing, race, trek, cycle and climb her way around Asia in November in a bid to raise money for Cancer research in November. TG's has supported her bid by hosting a charity event on August 25th. A great turnout ensured her journey has started off on the right foot.
